From vitamins to vaccines the global pharmaceutical industry is fundamental to enhancing the world’s health. There are three major segments in the pharmaceutical industry- API (Active pharmaceutical ingredient), formulation, and injectables. Generally, steam from a conventional boiler (often called utility or plant steam) is used in API whereas clean steam is used in the formulation and body injectable processes where the steam or its condensate can come into contact with a pharmaceutical or medical product.
